I went to the Springville Walmart yesterday (tuesday) on my first ever coupon shopping trip. It was a fairly stress free experience. I did run into two problems. First, I wasn’t able to do the McCormick deal for the spice pouches, the cashier told me that it was only on the jars of spices and herbs. Which I was disappointed about since that was a money maker, but I wasn’t in dire need for spices at home so I let it go. Second, my brain kind of shut off while I was shopping and it took me 3 hours to get a small list of about 30 things done. It’s like I completely forgot where things were located in the store. I’m going to chalk that one up to nerves. Is there an itemized list of where things are located in the store online anywhere or would customer service have one?

But overall I was able to save 30% on what I purchased which is worlds better than what I would spend before coupons, and considering I only decided this past saturday that I was going to start couponing, I think I did pretty darn good.

You did great! :) Hang in there. The first time I went (was just a few months ago) and my nerves got the best of me as well. Don’t give up though. I promise you that after you do this a few times it will seem easier and easier. God has helped me save so much money and I’m able to help my family too. It’s great. God bless you…

if you do not have a double coupon store in your area here is your most successful formula to follow. Bogo sale, apply one store coupon to each of the bogo products, apply one mfg coupon to each of the bogo products. split your transactions and apply the competitor coupon of5 off or 10 off the overall total. this is how we do it in florida due to no double coupon stores. this works in publix. if the store has e coupons and a rewards card go on line and load your card prior to going to the store and don’t forget to print a list of what you load. apply those too.publix has a competitor list which may include stores like target and other major gro stores in the neighborhood. look for the $2.00, $5.00, and $10 overall total coupons in their websites. and also apply the competitor store coupons to your publix purchases. stack, stack and stack, so is the formula…bogo plus 2 store coupons plus 2 mg plus overall total. if you live in a double cople area you may do even better. you can literally create a year long stock pile in 2-4 months of coupon shopping. good luck. if you have more questions. feel free to email me. linda in Bradenton florida

Walmart had Cherios Cereal on sale $3.50 for two boxes. I used two .50 coupons and paid $1.25 per box.

here is another important tip, when you check out here is the check out formula…take control of the register. present item, present paper coupons applicable to the purchase of that item, watch the screen to ensure rings up sale price. if it is not on sale do not buy. hold your coupons and be patient for sale. present overall total discount coupons like 5 off 30, etc after all items have rung up.. present rewards card last. remember to write down the sale price and amout of each coupon and the amt you expect to pay as you place items in your shop cart as you hop. in florida we are a non tax state for food but I find I have to know the tricks to catching cashier mistakes on that too. go to he store with the coupon policy in your hand. when publix offers a high dollar like 2.00 coupon on any item in store run to the fresh meet depart select publix wrapped fresh meats ask the butcher to split a 4.00 package into two packages and use 2 $2.00 coupons to get it free.

This is the first time I really looked at this site. I am new at couponing and this is exciting.

I like this site a lot. I feel silly for not doing couponing years ago. My food bill was the second biggest bill I have. Now I’ve cut it by 25%. Not bad…
